Serving the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Community in Northern California Since 1990

Education & Outreach

Welcome to our listing of Education & Outreach services for the LGBT community.

The Stonewall Alliance Center plays a vital role in educating the general public about sexual orientation and gender identity. We help reduce the stigma and discrimination experienced by GLBT individuals. Our trainings for staff and volunteers of groups and agencies in the region lead to improved services for our community members. Our speakers panels sit in classrooms and conference rooms, sharing our experiences and answering questions.

  • Harlen Adams Memorial Library houses a large collection of GLBT themed books. They are used by college and high school students for research projects, and community members seeking knowledge or with our large fiction section, entertainment.
  • AIDS Panels of Remembrance
We invite you to commemorate the life of a loved one lost to AIDS by creating a fabric panel memorializing that person. Our purpose is to create community awareness about AIDS, its reality in our area and the effect of HIV disease on our families.
  • Out Education is the Stonewall Alliance Center’s personal enrichment program. It is designed to help gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and straight allies by offering educational classes, workshops, seminars, panel discussions, and conferences.
