Education & Outreach

Welcome to our listing of Education & Outreach services available to the LGBT*QI+ community.

The Stonewall Alliance Center plays a vital role in educating the general public about sexual orientation and gender identity. We help reduce the stigma and discrimination experienced by LGBT*QI+ individuals. Our trainings for staff and volunteers of groups and agencies in the region lead to improved services for our community members. Our speakers’ panels sit in classrooms and conference rooms, sharing our experiences and answering questions.

Stonewall Alliance is flexible in price and payment options, and financial assistance is available. Please contact to learn more about getting a training to your place of work, classroom, or group.

Harlen Adams Memorial Library

The library has been reduced due to limited space. We have moved our main collection to our warehouse and purchased new LGBT*QI+ themed books relevant to youth and teens.

Outreach Tabling

Stonewall is invested in reaching people where they are, and spreading the word about our services, resources and encouraging folks to join a community that supports and affirms them. We can be found at many events such as Thursday Night Farmer's Markets in Chico, Chico State Campus events, as well as resource and educational fairs across the northstate. To request a Stonewall outreach presence at your next event, email or call us. We ask for at least 2 weeks' notice so that we can schedule volunteers to staff our table.

Stonewall Ally-Zone (A-Z)

A-Z provides peer support, information, and socializing for significant others, family, and friends of the LGBT*QI+ Community. A-Z provides a safe space to ask questions and/or talk about issues, feelings and concerns relevant to the sexual and gender minority community from A to Z! A-Z meets on the first and third Mondays at 6pm. Contact for more information.
