Stonewall's Queer Posada 2018 December 15th

Please join us at the Stonewall Alliance Center Saturday, December 15th from 6pm-10pm for some holiday fun! We are hosting a Queer Posada at our center. A Posada is a winter celebration with origins in Latinx culture, but here at the Stonewall Alliance Center we wanted to add a LGBTQ+ multicultural twist. Everyone is welcome to attend and bring friends and potluck dishes. There will be food, music, and games, as well as a warm place to be surrounded by friends in the community. We hope to see you there!

Coming Out for Art (COFA)

Coming out for Art (COFA) is an art show that provides a creative outlet for the LGBT*QI+ community and allies to fully express their feelings and attitudes surrounding sexuality and gender in a productive and positive way. We are currently seeking talented artists, dancers, photographers, musicians, spoken word performers and artisans to participate in this years showcase.

Creative artists are given a productive and positive way to express themselves and feelings in an artistic manner. The artwork is not only viewed by a large audience, but people who submit artwork have the option of selling their pieces. The show not only includes artwork but will feature spoken word, dance and musical performances from local performers as well.

World AIDS Day

Every year, the first day of December is dedicated to raising awareness of AIDS around the world, and Stonewall proudly brings that awareness to the Chico community. Stonewall Alliance in collaboration with Caring Choices and First Christian Church will provide the community with an HIV/AIDS Awareness Fair during the morning and afternoon with booths, games and valuable information. In the evening, the First Christian Church hosts the Candlelight Vigil & Reception in recognition of AIDS victims and survivors. Come join us on December 1st in observance of this very important day.
